The Jaguar I-PACE was one of the first premium electric SUVs to hit the market, but time marches on fast and it's now facing plenty of competition. That's why Jaguar has subtly updated its electric SUV for 2021 and one of those competitors beating a path to Jag's door is Volvo's XC40 P8 Recharge.

The Volvo is a familiar package both in terms of looks and under the skin as it shares a lot with the Polestar 2. Can it muscle its way into the sector and beat off the British car? Tom Ford and Nicki Shields find out.
