Final glide in a competition (Hessische Meisterschaft 2022 - Greifenburg/Austria - Task 3). I took a route over the Weißensee (lake) and therefor flew into the leeside of the ridge to the left of the lake. This decreased my glide ratio quite a bit. At the transition from the Weißensee valley to the Drau valley I got quite a bit lower then I'd liked.

It would have been easy to get a little more height in the area of the beginning of this video. With the height I actually had, I should have aborted my flight and landed safely near the lake. All went well but next time I'm going to safe more height or land.

The risk in flying depends heavily on one's decisions. Make the right ones...
