Why no Model 3 or Model S? Because we own a Model Y. Why do we say the Model Y costs $70,000? Because that's what we paid for it.

Back in November, we pitted these two performance electric vehicles against each other in our real-world EV range test (http://edmu.in/3qURBPp). Those test results showed the pricier Taycan 4S has more range than our Model Y even though the EPA estimates said differently.

With the new rear-wheel-drive base model Taycan available for testing, we wanted to see how the Taycan's 0-60 mph time compares to the Model Y's 0-60 mph time. Which EV accelerates quicker?
