Here's a fun episode of To Tell the Truth taped on November 20th, 1973. Bill Cullen is hosting while Garry Moore is away on vacation, and we have a pretty legendary doozy of a notable first subject in this one.

Today, our panel of Nipsey Russell, Kitty Carlisle, Orson Bean, and Peggy Cass and tasked to identify the real Charles Hickson in game one. UFO enthusiasts will know that name very well, as he is one of the two men that claimed to have been abducted by alien creatures in what is known as the Pascagoula Abduction. Very notably, even Orson Bean is skeptical of the lie detector aspect, pointing out that all a passed lie detector test means is that you truly believe what happened happened, rather than if it truly happened. Orson also calls Godzilla an "obscure monster"... how interesting to think of a world where Godzilla films didn't dominate the syndication stations on weekend afternoons!! :) cough cough OK, I can make fun of Orson for knowing nothing about Godzilla just a little bit, as a treat.

Meanwhile in game two, the panel is tasked to identify an anthropology professor and expert on native tribes in Peru, who even spent time living there and took a hallucinogenic drug offered to her by one of the natives.
