Working from home can be a culture shock - you go from a busy office environment (or at least one where everyone seems to be busy) to a quiet, isolated place somewhere in your home.

Or maybe your working from home environment is just the kitchen table. That makes things even harder to separate.

But you need to keep some discipline when you've decided to make your home your work place.

We need boundaries otherwise our minds blur things.

Set aside normal working hours so that you don't use the excuse that your office is only a few seconds away to "just go back" and do a few more things - those few minutes can easily turn into much longer, maybe even hours, and your work/family balance cam suffer in the process.

Working from home can be liberating - the lack of distractions can really help some people - but it can also be awkward for other people in your family.

Your new home office used to just be another room.

Now it's a separate space, even though from outside that door it looks exactly the same.

It takes time for other members of your family to adjust to the idea that you're now working from home - you may need to help them understand those differences.

And if you find your productivity drops. consider using a hypnosis track to help you get back on track when you're working from home;
