From an old 16mm film I found in a barn, we see how the fire department educated people in 1953.

Recently, I got a transfer box (basically a lens, mirror, and a screen in a box) for transferring film to video. It works equally well with a modern camcorder than with a VHS camera as designed. After fixing my projector's belt (I just cut a short piece off and glued it back together), I was able to test it out. Focusing and better video compression/conversion would make the picture better, but for a first run, it turned out quite well. The picture was originally in color, but like many old films the other dyes decayed away, leaving only red. I applied a black&white effect, which makes the picture look a little better.
