Friends will know (probably all too well) of my love for this Boy Scout camp in the Catskill Mountains in New York. I have written extensively about it at https://www.billcotter.com/onteora/in....

Each year the Onteora Alumni Association holds a Reunion Weekend and we traveled there from Los Angeles to see the camp, meet old friends, and make some new ones. I brought my new DJI Mini 3 drone to capture some of the beauty of this special place.

I had all sorts of plans to capture footage all over camp but Mother Nature had other plans and sent us rain all day Saturday and Sunday. I was able to get some footage when we arrived late Friday afternoon. It starts with scenes of Orchard Lake, Sprague Brook, and the parade grounds, then it was off to the Long House area. I was really pleased how close I could get to a doe and her two fawns near the James E. West Shelter. One of the reasons I chose this drone is it is really quiet compared to most others, and you will see just how close I got to them.

Hopefully by next year's reunion I will have gotten more comfortable with using this thing, and hopefully it won't rain quite as much.
