After posting my last video I received some pretty adverse feedback from some other Toyota YouTubers... I won't say names. A couple of them couldn't believe I would put out a video like that. They couldn't believe I would bash Toyota like that. At first I was pretty upset by this unsolicited feedback but the more I thought about it, the more I understood. They were upset because they couldn't fathom putting out a video that actually criticized (although in satirical fashion) the auto brand WE love. Toyota is my favorite automotive manufacturer, I'll continue to support the company but also continue to be critical of the brand... BECAUSE I love the brand. That's the part that a lot of folks don't understand. It is absolutely possible to love something while also being critical of it. In my opinion, they go hand in hand. There'a a lot to like about new 2024 Toyotas... plenty to like. BUT, I also think there's a lot to dislike, and we as enthusiasts SHOULD offer this feedback and be open and honest about it. It's what allows the company to improve. How does Toyota even know what to improve if they're constantly being told they're perfect? They deserve our unfiltered critique. Being afraid to offer those jabs because you're afraid to lose out on an invite, is quite pathetic.

I have 100% come to grips with the fact that I will likely NEVER get invited to another Toyota event, I'm okay with that. I'd rather keep things 100% real and honest on my channel instead of simping for a brand with hopes of getting handouts and all-expense paid trips. My hope is that Toyota will eventually see the value in the critiques that I'm not afraid to provide... and hopefully someday they'll be receptive and open to what I have to say. I firmly believe that I'm not alone in a lot of my thoughts of new Toyotas. The new 2024 Toyota Tacoma is wildly overpriced for being a cheaply made 4banger mid-size pickup. Smaller engine, bigger payment. No thanks.

The new Tundra saw a HUGE price spike over the last gen, we're just supposed to be cool with that? Having owned a 2023 Tundra TRD Pro, I can confidently say that it's not worth the $74K+ price tag. And $65K for the new 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro??? Whahhh? And just $500 less for the 2024 Toyota Trailhunter? No thanks.

It's okay to call a spade a spade... We shouldn't be afraid to do that. I won't be. You can count on that!

Thank you for the continued support. If you haven't already, please consider Liking and Subscribing, your support means a lot... and I certainly appreciate it!
