This is where I cut the black wire and reconnect it to the wire at the 6th connection point. Most plastic connectors are numbered, but I didn't bother to look closely enough to see what the position number actually is. The red wire is in position #4, then there's a space, and another orange in #6. This is the one that gets snipped and the black wires soldered to it.
My eyes are getting worse and my hands aren't as steady as I'd like, but I was always good at soldering so this still goes smoothly.
I waste a lot of time in this video. Sorry about that. :)
