Davina, can you share with me some of your testimony and some of your painting journey?

One day as I was painting, the Lord gave me a picture, and in the picture I saw the Lord sitting on His throne, and I was standing before Him. And He put a paintbrush in my hand, and He turned me around, and standing behind me were a crowd of thousands of people, and He said, "Paint for the people." Then I saw myself walk down into the crowd, and as the Holy Spirit led me, I began painting things for people out of thin air, and I saw myself paint a baby in a couple's arms and paint many other things for them. And the Lord helped me see that this gift He's given me is meant to encourage and uplift and strengthen and serve people, and to be a way to show people God's love.

Hello, my name is Davina Hunt, and I've been painting my whole life. It's always something I've loved to do, and it's just a gift that the Lord has given me.

Prophetic painting is basically just revealing God's messages to His people in visual form, and so the Lord can use a picture in very powerful ways. He can often use it in ways that words can't be used, and that's what makes it so powerful.

So this Easter, I was asked to paint in church, and so I was just praying, and I was asking Jesus what He wanted me to paint, and I just had the sense to paint the line of Judah, which is a metaphor for Jesus. And so I made it. It was like, it was my worship to Jesus was to paint this, because I used colors to represent His beauty, and Jesus is so infinitely beautiful. I can't just use one color to express His beauty, so I used many different colors, and just represent the infinite facets of His beauty. And I painted scars on the line's head and nose to represent how Jesus fought for us and sacrificed Himself for us. And in the painting, the line is emerging from the shadows, and coming into the light, just as Jesus emerged from the shadows of death and the grave, and now reigns as King of Kings.

And as I was painting it, I just felt that someone needed to know that He is the God who fights for you and who wins the victory for you.

In my life, I've seen the Lord as the line of Judah, in that He has transformed me from a shy little girl who could not talk to anyone, to be able to look people in the eyes and to give them a hug, because He has put His boldness in me, and He has given me His heart for them. Worship painting is partnering with the Holy Spirit and is letting Him show me what He wants to accomplish through a painting. He can use a painting to release heaven, to release healing, to bring life, to bring encouragement. He can use it in any way He wants. And I'm so thankful and so privileged that He would use me to communicate His messages in this way.

God can often speak through pictures. That's one of the ways He communicates with us. And it can be a powerful way, because often a picture can communicate what words can't. It can be a powerful way for God to speak, and He can break through barriers with a picture that He can't with words. Often a picture can move past boundaries and get to the heart of a person more than words can sometimes. And that's what makes it a powerful way for God to speak.

It's amazing how when we all worship together as one body, then it all comes together into one thing. So what I love is when the worship team, the band, worships, and then I can enter in more easily with painting, because it just all flows together so beautifully.

If you feel like you have a creative gift, I just encourage you to get involved with the church and find a mentor and just develop your skill. Get your skill to the best place you can, and then just allow the Holy Spirit to flow through that in you and to be released in you. And powerful things will come from that.
