New York State Police Unit 3K30, Unit 2K72, and Unit 3K53, along with seven unmarked units (most likely assigned to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation), Somers Police Department Unit 7K380, Somers Fire Department Car 8011, Ambulance 80B3, Car 2442, Ambulance 80B4, and Utility 35, and Westchester Emergency Medical Services 45-Medic-2 responding to a shooting on Summit Circle in Somers, New York. Unit 3K80 from the New York State Police, Unit 7K385 from the Somers Police Department, Unit 7K362 from the North Salem Police Department, and 45-Medic-3 from the Westchester Emergency Medical Services also responded to this call, but are not seen in this video. 45-Medic-3 was cancelled prior to arrival.

Originally, Somers Police Department Unit 7K385 was dispatched to a reported domestic disturbance, with the caller reporting that somebody was screaming that they had been attacked. Because many local and State Police units were tied up with an unrelated foot pursuit/suspect search that was also occurring in Somers, Unit 7K362 from the neighboring North Salem Police Department responded to back-up Unit 7K385. Unit 7K385 arrived on scene and immediately requested additional backup, stating that somebody had been shot. EMS was also dispatched and was originally instructed to stage away from the scene, but was quickly told to respond in. A second ambulance was also requested to the scene for a second patient who had blunt-force trauma. At this point, 45-Medic-2, who was responding on the original assignment, requested 45-Medic-3 to respond as well. After an evaluation, it was determined that both patients had minor injuries and 45-Medic-3 was cancelled. Ambulance 80B3 and Ambulance 80B4 both transported one patient each BLS to Westchester Medical Center. 45-Medic-2 and remaining Somers FD units on scene all went back into service, while police units remained to conduct an investigation.

New York State Police later released information regarding the incident, stating that a family argument between two brothers lead to one shooting the other in the arm with a small-caliber rifle.
