After a few months with the Retevis RB26, we've come to appreciate it for what it isn't. It isn't a good first GMRS radio, that distinction goes to other models in the Retevis lineup like the RT76P or the RB27. However, it is a great radio to use as either a backup, or as a primary radio to give to a less experienced user to use, like your kids or spouse. Performance wise, it's on par with anything out there, there's just the absence of certain features that make it less desirable for me as a primary handheld.
