I have several clumping bamboo varieties in my backyard against the far side of my property with the intent of them growing together to create a privacy hedge. Check out the video to see which bamboo variety is your favorite before planting.

Bamboo varieties as they appear in the video:
1. Bambusa guangxiensis - Chinese Dwarf Bamboo
2. Bambusa vulgaris 'Wamin' - Dwarf Buddha Belly Bamboo
3. Bambusa lako - Timor Black Bamboo
4. Thyrsostachys siamensis - Monastery Bamboo
5. Rhapis excelsa - Lady palm
6. Nandina domestica - Heavenly Bamboo
7. Bambusa textilis 'RG Dwarf' - Weaver's Bamboo
8. Bambusa malingensis - Seabreeze Bamboo

Care: Water every 2 days in summer, once per week in winter. Fertilize with nitrogen blood meal every 2 months in growing season (look for something like a 14-0-0 on the fertilizer). Balanced slow-release fertilizer once per year.

Most of my bamboo was bought from Green Life Nursery in Phoenix, Queen Creek Tropicals, and www.tropicalbamboo.com
