The F150 is the best selling vehicle in the USA for the last 40 years. After 14 generations, we finally have a Hybrid, and it is glorious. Move over Dodge Ram, the 2021 F150 Powerboost takes best in class towing capacity at 12,700 lbs, and best in class payload at 2,300 lbs. The 3.5L V6 produces 430 hp and 570 lb/ft of torque, making it faster than the current Ford Raptor. In fact, the Hybrid option is more powerful than any V8 offered in the new F150.

Ford makes it no secret that the 2021 F150 is a true workers truck. Most notably, the electric motor in the Hybrid option has contributed to the trucks nickname, “The Mobile Generator”. The electric motor provides a whopping 7.2 kilowatts of electric to the outlets that can be found in the bed. You can power your TV, your laser printer, and microwave a pizza all at the same time. More evidence that Ford intends this truck to be used as a workhorse, the center armrest folds forward, providing a bench to be used as a desk. The shift level does get in the way of the armrest folding completely flat, but do not worry, Ford has thought of a clever solution (watch the video to see). Also, you will find the completely flat folding seats to give you a bed for napping during lunch hour.

The exterior design is relatively similar to the previous model (almost identical in the rear). This is the Platinum trim level with the FX4 offload package, which grants this truck the rare Rock Crawl driving mode. So, is the first hybrid F150 in history a home run or a flop? Watch the full review for my opinions on this car, everything I love about it, everything I hate about it, and wether I believe you should buy or not.
