The EV6 has some serious competition from the likes of the Tesla Model Y and Audi Q4 e-tron, but Kia has managed to knock it out of the park with its new electric SUV.

Based on the same underpinnings as the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the EV6 comes in either in either single or dual motor form. The single motor is slung over the rear axle (making it rear wheel drive!), though at 228hp it’s not exactly what you’d call sporty. It’ll go from 0-62mph in 7.3 seconds, but most EVs deliver most of their punch of the line so it should still feel pretty quick. Courtesy of a 77.4kWh battery, the EV6 can cover up to 328 miles on a single charge and supports up to 350kW charging thanks to its 800V architecture. While it might not beat its rivals in every area, at just over £40,000 it might be the best all-round package.
