Step 3: Start of egg donation treatment cycle

In this video, it will talk about the egg donation cycle at VEDA.

The donor will meet with a nurse co-coordinator, and this is to plan and set dates to begin the donor cycle.

The donor will be put onto a combined oral contraceptive or rather the pill. This is so that we can regulate your cycle and set dates for this treatment. What is important to remember is that we are trying to retrieve as many eggs as possible so that we can increase the chances of success for the recipients.
Typically, we want between 12-15 eggs from each donor cycle. The medication used for this treatment is the same medication women undergoing IVF treatment use utilizing their own eggs.
