Democrat Congressman Jared Golden has reversed his position on assault weapons following the deadly shooting in his hometown in Maine, which claimed 18 lives.

An emotional Golden asked his constituents for "forgiveness" as he pledged to spend the rest of his time in Congress campaigning for tighter gun control.
