In this video I have explained how to save money from salary and mentioned points that have helped me save money fast and create cash pools to rock my boat even in tough and difficult times in my life.

Although it is great to start saving young as a teenager, it is never too late to learn how to manage your money

1. Multiple Income sources - This kept me from going completely broke even when I lost my job a couple of years ago. And when I found a full time job again, my secondary and tertiary sources of income helped build wealth.

2. Minimalism - This was a big turn around for me. Not only did it save me a some big bucks but it also simplifies my house and my life altogether.

3. Budgeting - Us women are seldom taught money management; neither at school not at home and we as a sex are less informed about smart saving schemes and plans. But budgeting as a whole helps us know where we are spending and how much we are saving.

4. Save and invest 40% - If saving money is one part of the game then the second is to know how to invest money. I prefer saving in separate categories i.e saving for home, saving for kids, saving for retirement, saving for emergencies, etc. My preferred option at the moment is to invest in SIP (Systematic Invest Plan) in Mutual Funds at least until I have enough money to invest in real estate.

5. Mutual Funds - Although Mutual funds are subjected to market risks, when chosen cleverly, it grows and multiplies your money better than your bank can. I have briefly mentioned how to invest in SIP and how to invest in mutual funds in India but feel free to do your own research to find the best plan for you.
