Ten years ago, I wrote a book describing the Storytelling Agency & Production Company I wanted to create.

Being 22 at the time, I didn't know how to run a company like that, much less how to build one. But, I figured if I wrote about the type of work I/we would create and the values we'd have, then I would at least have an idea of where I was headed.

Not knowing where to start I figured the best place would be to get a job in advertising so I could learn the business, make some money, and see how to work at a high level.

Ten years later, trying to find my way at various advertising agencies, I realize I've never felt like I've been doing what I should be.

The interesting thing is, I never have a new answer when I wonder what I really want to be doing. It's still to create a Storytelling Agency and production Company, to tell stories people want to listen to with content people want to see.

Instead of thinking there's another way to create this company, I now know the only way to get there is to start. There's no shortcut, there's no had, there's only doing the work. So that's what this is, me documenting how I'm creating the company I wrote about wanting to build ten years ago.
