This is Bob Glidden's original Plymouth Arrow Pro Stock restored to it's 1979 Championship-winning configuration. A faithful restoration down to the last detail. The owner did an amazing job of bringing a very special car back to it's former glory. Amazing that it survived in-tact through several subsequent racers.

Car retains the original Don Hardy chassis and the original engine save for the carburetors I believe. Glidden's Lenco was gone but has been replaced with a Liberty. Owner recreated Glidden's paint scheme and lettering to a T. Owner also had some extra engine parts on display as well. Holding one of Glidden's actual piston and rod assemblies and a cylinder head in your hands is just mind blowing and not something you get to experience every day.

The engine is 314 cubic inches of small block Mopar power. This thing shakes the ground, just an absolute monster. Although it did not make a pass that day, the car is capable or running the number as the owner stated it went 8.60 letting off before the stripe at another event.

Video was taken at the Mopars At The Valley meet on 10.8.23. This is a living piece of drag racing history folks. Get off your butts and support your local tracks even if it's just to spectate!
