The next day we are back on the Trans Canadian Highway , south of Winnipeg we headed west along the old Red Coat Trail - Hwy 2. This road is a 810 miles [1 300 km] route that approximates the path taken in 1874 by the North-West Mounted Police in their March West from Fort Dufferin to Fort Whoop-Up
