Guided by Li's voice, Xu Wenwu begins breaking down the gate with the rings, which causes the minions of the Dweller-in-Darkness to escape. The villagers and the Ten Rings call a truce to stop the minions.

Meanwhile, Shang-Chi is revived by the Great Protector and rises out of the water to help them. Then, the Dweller-in-Darkness escapes the weakened gate and attacks Wenwu and Shang-Chi. Wenwu saves his son, bequeathing him the rings before the Dweller-in-Darkness kills him.
