Do you think that you know everything about “The Little Mermaid”? You might have seen the Disney princess movie, but only a few of you have actually read the original fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. We have to tell you that there is no love story and no Prince Charming because we are only showing you the messed up origins of “The Little Mermaid.” Make sure you watch this video until the end to know if Ariel lives happily ever after.

The beginning is really similar to what we saw in the Disney princess movie as Ariel was fascinated by the human world. As soon as she got old enough to go near the ships, she fell in love with a man and thought that he would be her Prince Charming. And unlike what we saw in the movie, she took much more time to get to know him before making the biggest decision of her life.

If you watched “The Little Mermaid,” you know that Ariel exchanged her voice for a pair of legs. But in the original fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen, the deal that she made with the sea witch was more terrifying. The sorceress herself said that the young woman was dumb. But you’ll have to watch this video to know more about that crazy agreement.

Stay tuned to hear more about the messed up origins of the little mermaid like how the young girl suffered from the deal with the sea witch, how the Prince called her, who he finally ended up with, and if she ever lived happily ever after. Which fairy tale story do you prefer? Don’t be shy to answer in the comments section down below. We love to hear what you think!
