Everyone has a cost of living, but that cost gets a little crazy when disability is a part of the picture. The cost is exorbitant, and it often includes my dignity. Everything seems to cost more when disability is involved, and it's not just the extras. It's the necessary, day to day functioning things that I can't opt out of if I want to live a somewhat 'normal' life. A disabled life usually means a higher cost of living, paired with a reduced income. A painful irony.
