Join Rob and Rexy for a playdate in Dinosaurs for kids. A toddler learning video on how to talk to a non-verbal friend. Rexy is Rob's very best friend, but Rexy is a dinosaur and can't speak as we can so, Rob has to figure out how to communicate with Rexy in a way that she feels included.

Oh, hi, hey, it's me, Rob, from stutterbugg, and I'm so glad you're here! Today I'm going to have a playdate with my very bestest dinosaur friend. You've seen her before. Do you want to guess who it is? Okay, I'll give you some hints: She's really, really tall, she's got pointy sharp teeth and little, little arms; just like that. Yeah, it's Rexy, my Tyrannosaurus Rex friend. Ah, I'm so excited, and she's going to be here really, really soon. Okay, Rexy is my special friend, because she's a dinosaur, she doesn't talk like you and me, so we have to find other ways of communicating with her. Then when she wants something, she'll tell us don't worry. The first step is we're going to put out some games and some toys. That way, when she gets here, she can tell us what she wants to do. Okay, so come on, come on, I'll show you.

Okay, so before Rexy gets here, I put out some games and some toys so that we have something to play with, and then that way, when she gets here, she can just point and tell us which one she wants to play with. So, I've got this game here, one, two games and three games. Oh, and this one as well. Then I've got some toys. I've got a tractor. It's my favorite. vrrrroommm. Then I have a Mr. potatohead and a Mrs. potatohead as well. Okay, I just have to wait until she gets here. Did you hear that? She's here! Okay, I'm so excited!

Everyone, I want you to meet my very, very best friend, Rexy! So to start with, I put some toys and some games out. Do you want to come and take a look? Yeah. Okay, yeah, let's go look. Come on, come on. Okay, here we are, and yeah, we put out some games for Rexy. Let's see if she wants to play any of them. Okay, Rexy, do you want to play this game with us? Yeah, that one? No? Okay, okay, that's fine. How about this game? Yeah? No? That's okay. Oh, I love this game, you want to play this game with me? Not that game either? Oh, we could have so much fun with this one. Yeah? Let's play this game! Yeah? Oh, no. Okay, well, we still have some toys. Do you want to play tractors with me? We could have so much fun! How about Mr. and Mrs. PotatoHead? We could have...

Oh no, Rexy doesn't want to play with any of our games or any of our toys. What are we going to do? Can you guys think of anything? Hide and seek? Yeah, oh, that'd be so much fun! Okay, Rexy, why don't you hide, and I'll count. Okay, ready? One, two, three.

Nine, ten. Okay, let's go find Rexy. Yeah, come on, come on. Let's go! Ready or not, here I come. Okay, let's see if we can find Rexy. I don't know; there are so many hiding spots in here. Is she under the pillow? No, okay, maybe she's under the blanket? Ready? Oh no, she's not there either. Okay, where could she be? I'm sorry, what was that? Do you see her? Where? Where? You're right; she's right here! We found you! Good job! Okay, hey, I know what else we can play. Let's play tag. You're it!

Oh no, she tagged me. I guess I'm it.

Rexy? Oh no, what's wrong with Rexy? She looks like she's sad. What should we do? Hey, let's go comfort her and see what's wrong. Are you okay? No? Are you tired? No? No. Okay, um... Are you hurt? Okay, no. Wait. Are you hungry? Yeah, I'm hungry too. Okay, let's go get something to eat. Come on, come on.

Okay, since we're both hungry, I've got two apples. Here you go, Rexy. I love apples! Apples are so crispy, and they're so... Oh no, Rexy, you don't want an apple? But I love apples. Apples are so good and crispy. Why wouldn't Rexy want an apple? Yeah, Rexy's a dinosaur. Yeah, dinosaurs don't like apples. Especially Rexy, Rexy's a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Rexy doesn't eat plants or fruit; she eats Triceratops. Okay, I'll go get Triceratops. Here. Yeah, I've got a triceratops. Here you go, Rexy. Ha, that'll be great.

Okay, so Rexy and I are going to go out and play in the snow because it looks super fun outside. We're going to go to tobogganing and have a snowball fight. It's going to be so much fun! Rexy? Are you okay? Oh no! Rexy, do you need help? Yeah, okay, let's help Rexy get ready.
