We are on a quest to be more self sustaining when it comes to our meat. We saved a bunch of money by DIYing a chicken waterer for our broiler birds. This was specific to the need of relocating the chicken pen each day and not wanting to have to get into the chicken tractor to move the water bucket. This bucket hangs from a mounting point on the chicken tractor so we can move the entire chicken pen at one time. We used a white 5 gallon bucket from the hardware store and added several poultry nipples to the bottom that we got from Tractor Supply. A few minutes with the drill and we saved a bunch of money and made something that works for our specific situation!
