Here we go. Apologies for the sloppy video. I hope it can be a helpful tool for those who are trying to do this themselves or just want to know what your bike’s insides look like.

FOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF INTAKE CLOSING SHIMS CONSULT THE MANUAL! DO NOT TRY TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THEM IN THE SAME MANNER AS THE EXHAUST CLOSING SHIMS! THERE IS A SPECIAL TOOL FOR EACH PROCEDURE. $$$

Tools for checking valve clearances
Ducati crankshaft tool (see manual)
metric sockets and wrench
3/8 in hex bolt for accessing crankshaft (or metric equivalent)
Feeler gauges
straight edge (for making sure camshafts are aligned when removing/installing)
Pen and paper (or use attached spreadsheet)
Shop Manual

Tools for adjusting valve clearances
Torque wrench
Micrometer (optional)
New shims
Marked baggies
Magnetic screwdriver
Flat head screwdriver and mallet (for removing stubborn closing shims EXHAUST ONLY)
Tool to reattach spring
Patience
Shop Manual
Intake Closing Shim (special tools, see manual)

Upon reassembly you will also need
Torque Wrench
Ducati Liquid Gasket
Replacement Gaskets (if necessary)

CONSULT THE MANUAL!
The manual has in-depth guides with pictures showing you how and what to do. Research it and use this video as further illustration.

The steps
1. Check Closing/Opening clearances
2. If outside of checking range (or comfort range) move to adjustment. I only say this because the dealer said that a little bit off isnt going to destroy your bike.
3. Remove Vertical Camshafts
4. Replace Closing Shims and opening shims (It is possible that a new closing shim will adjust your opening shim as well, the opening shims are much easier to replace so dont get discouraged when your measurements are not the same as when you started. The whole process is a little repetitive until you get everything right.)
5. Install vertical camshafts
6. Check clearances
7. Repeat 4, 5, 6 until clearances are to your liking
8. Make sure your engine rotates freely (if you are off a tooth on a camshaft you will hit a hard stop when rotating)
9. Remove Horizontal Camshafts
10. Step 4
11. Install Horizontal Camshafts
12. Check Clearances
13. Repeat 4, 5, 6 until clearances are to your liking
14. Step 8
15. Put everything back together.

Using a micrometer, Ducati gave me the wrong shim and I had to redo a step because of it. they have a tool to measure shims so make sure you are getting the right one, especially if the size isnt marked on the side. You COULD also sand down your shims if they need to be reduced in size. You would need a micrometer to keep track of the adjustment. SHOULD you? up to you.
