As we see the unimaginable scenes of families and children struggling to breath under the weight of buildings and floors, bodies buried in their once happy homes, it’s clear how this is a test of our humanity and our faith. But we should never despair and never give up hope in the mercy of God.
The victims are martyrs; gardens of paradise have been prepared for them. Where no fear or sorrow will ever touch them again.
It is we who survive, that need to act now with hearts of compassion and charity. May God bless all the people who are working to retrieve every possible soul from the weight of this disaster. Whoever can help must do so, because where there is death and destruction, there is still life and building to do.
