Halloween is a great time to get your freak on, and this year is no different – in fact, since restrictions have eased, it’s time we go all out, right? Whether you’re booked in for a bloodcurdling bottomless brunch, heading to your local bar for some creepy cocktails or simply inviting some friends over for a fabulous fright night – it’s time to start planning those makeup looks. Not sure where to start? Well, we’ve got you covered.

From the Queen of Dark Hearts to set hearts racing, to a Pretty Ghoul(ish) look that will leave you frozen to your core, and the totally vampy Villainess to unleash your dark side, there's something for everybody – and the best part? They're all super easy too.

LOOK 1: Queen of Dark Hearts

Start off with a bare face (foundation optional), and using the Rimmel London Feline Liquid Liner, draw vertical lines down the centre of your face. Continuing the lines down to the bottom of your face, then draw horizontal lines before colouring in every other square, leaving the centre of your face bare.
Using the liquid liner, draw a heart shape that will frame your face with the checkerboard pattern before wiping away any liner within the centre of the heart so that your brows, eyes, cheeks, nose and lips are completely bare.
For the upper lash line, use the Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid Eye Liner to draw a regular cat-eye flick and fill in, before drawing a graphic swoop underneath the lower lashes.
Using the Rimmel Lasting Finish 8Hr Lip Liner in Red Dynamite, trace the upper socket of your eye to create a cut-crease effect and blend with a small brush. Then repeat on the lower lash line.
Using the red lip liner, cut off the corners of your lips to create a smaller and rounder lip shape, before filling in with Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour in Fire Starter and Sugar Plum.
Using the Rimmel Maxi Blush in Exposed, apply to the apples of your cheeks and above the cheekbone for a defined, rosy look.
Finally, tap on Rimmel High’Lighter in Candlelit with the tips of your fingers for a glowy finish that accentuates the look.
