This is how I DESTROYED this poor MacBook Pro. All in the same of science! Well, by that, I mean scrubbing off the anti reflective coating on these old MacBooks that will eventually start to wear off from use over time. There was just an unfortunate dent in the corner of the screen which caused water to somehow find its way into the middle of the screen.
