Back after a short break on another project. In this episode we have a look at the DIY double-glazed window I have created.

If you know, you know: 🙌.

The design of the swinging walls meant I had to leave a void at the end of the main trailer where the walls can stack when they are closed for transport. This posed a problem in how to finish this part of the ceiling. I decided to make it a feature and put in a skylight. Great idea and I love how it looks. The only problem... CONDENSATION. A serious issue for a flat roof window in the middle of the house. To combat this, I have devised a way to create my own double-glazed window.

I have framed up the window so I can put a second piece of glass below the window and create a sealed cavity. I am then using MIG welding gas (which is mostly argon - used in double glazed windows) to fill the cavity and create a double-glazed window that is thermally resistant. Hopefully this stops the condensation.

Next steps are to clear coat all the interior plywood (which is already underway) and start waterproofing the shower. There is still so much to do but we are on the home stretch team. We are getting there.

Until next time, don't hate... educate, and go build cool stuff.
