Mercedes-AMG is out to prove a four-cylinder plug-in hybrid drivetrain can be every bit as good as its legendary V8 👉 Full Review: https://www.carsales.com.au/editorial...
The new 2024 Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance marks a very different path for the legendary German tuning house.
Once synonymous with chest-thumping V8s, AMG is increasingly downsizing its engines to meet tightening emissions standards – and the new C 63 is a huge case in point.
Combining the smaller A 45 hot hatch’s 2.0-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder engine with a rear-mounted electric motor, the 2024 C 63 produces stratospheric outputs, but it also weighs and costs a lot more than before.
As Sam Charlwood discovers, it makes for quite a convincing (albeit very different) execution on the right roads.
