My usual rough unedited rambling about getting ready to mate the vintage sac to the newer 2002 4l80E. I wanted this tranny because it has the overdrive gearing I need which makes it a step up from the TH400 but its not without its issues as you need a transmission shift controller. I opted to go with US Shift Quick2 as I don't need anything fancy. My SBC is all stock other than the retrofitted Howards cam/ roller lifter kit. I will most likely not bolt the torque converter to the flexplate until the initial 2500 rpm idle 25 minute break-in. That way if there's any starting issues or noises etc I know its not this unknown tranny that's the problem. I still need to get oil cooler lines and the driveshaft length figured out. Will record more when I get closer to having something interesting to share. Im not an ASE Mechanic. In know some stuff, but not everything and thanks to yt and factory manuals I can get this thing figured out, Please like and Subscribe and thank you for watching!.
