In this video clip, director William Friedkin discusses the film THE GODFATHER, PART II, in his opinion, one of the greatest sequels ever made, because it expands on the themes of the original GODFATHER and has a unique structure. THE GODFATHER, PART II, directed by Francis Ford Coppola, was released on December 20, 1974 in the US, and won six Oscars including Best Director and Best Picture. It was the first sequel to win the Best Picture Award, and ranks number 32 on AFI's Top 100 Films List.
