I've had a fair few people ask me if I'll be trying OpenIPC, and the answer is yes. I'm quite excited to get cracking on this project, but I do want to spend extra time documenting my efforts in as much detail as possible, so this is just an intro of what is involved, and then I'll cover actually putting the system together in part 2.

Some handy links:
You can learn all about the OpenIPC project here: https://openipc.org/
If you can't find what you need on the main page, then there's a lot of discussion on the Telegram channels: https://openipc.org/our-channels

What I'm using in my build - no affiliate links here, this is just what I bought, but bear in mind that the range of equipment that you can use is quite large:
IP Camera (I ordered with 12V LAN cable (which comes in handy for flashing) and a 2.8mm lens): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10050...
Wifi modules (2 of): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10050... (You will also need 4 x UFL antennas for these):
NVR Board: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10050...
Mini uBECs (4 of needed I think): https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254153188189 I got these from eBay in the UK, there should be lots of options available. You don't have to use these ones, but you will need 12v, 3.3v, and 5v power for the various things.

This is Mario's Channel    / @mariofpv   He's done a lot of videos showing OpenIPC in action and has some build tutorials.
