How to replace the charcoal canister/evap canister on a 2001 Toyota Corolla. Should be the same procedure for 1998-2002 Corollas and a very similar procedure for other years. I also explain the basics of an evap system and in my case how to fix the check engine light code P0442.
When replacing the gas cap, ONLY use oem part purchased from the parts department from a Toyota dealership. This ended up being part of my problem as well!
