Join us for another delicious cooking & nutrition demonstration.
In this month’s Community Connections, we will be joined by Marcia Cooper and Cheryl Jitta from Health Canada to talk about some important food safety tips when preparing, cooking and storing foods.

Marcia Cooper is a Research Scientist in the Bureau of Nutritional Sciences in the Food Directorate, Health Canada. She is currently conducting research related to nutrition labelling, course development, threshold levels for nutrition surveillance, including the iron status of Canadians, food safety and nutrition messages in the media. She is also a Registered Dietitian.

Cheryl Jitta specializes in food safety communications. She is a Scientific Projects Coordinator working in the Bureau of Microbial Hazards at Health Canada. She is also a Registered Dietitian.
