The next part in the series on upgrading the avionics in a Cessna 172.

This C172 is a 172P model and is getting an entire new instrument panel, with Garmin GI275’s as the primary flight instrumentation, combined with a Garmin GTN650 GPS navigator.

The aircraft was already ADSB compliant, having had an ADSB upgrade a year or two earlier. So the transponder remains, but all of the other equipment is being renewed.

This part of the series is completing the instrument panel, including painting it and mock fitting the flight instruments.

Once completed, this will return the aircraft to IFR category and will be able to continue with our ab initio training, but also training for the instrument rating!
