2022 Audi Q4 e-tron crash tests, from the NHTSA.

Test conditions: Front: Tested vehicle crashed head on with a fixed barrier at 35 mph. This is equivalent to a head-on collision between two vehicles of equal weight and height, each moving at 35 mph. Side: a 3,015 lb moving barrier with a crumple zone (replicating a moving sedan or other short-height vehicle) moving at 38.5 mph is crashed into the tested vehicle’s side. Side-pole: Tested vehicle traveling sideways at 20 mph collides with a 25cm wide rigid pole at a 75-degree angle at the point of the driver’s seat, replicating a crash with a tree or utility pole.

The Audi Q4 e-tron is an all-electric compact SUV that comes with several key safety features to ensure the safety of its passengers. Some of the most notable safety features of the Audi Q4 e-tron include:

1. Collision avoidance assist: This safety feature uses front-facing cameras and sensors to detect potential collisions with other vehicles or pedestrians. If a collision is detected, the car will automatically apply the brakes to avoid or mitigate the impact.

2. Adaptive cruise control: This feature uses radar and cameras to maintain a safe following distance from other vehicles on the road. It can also bring the car to a complete stop if necessary and resume acceleration when the traffic starts moving again.

3. Lane departure warning: This safety feature alerts the driver if the car is drifting out of its lane without signaling. If the car continues to drift, the system will gently steer the car back into its lane.

4. Blind-spot monitoring: The Audi Q4 e-tron comes with blind-spot monitoring to alert the driver when a vehicle is in their blind spot. It can also detect vehicles approaching rapidly from behind and give the driver a warning.

5. Rear cross-traffic alert: This safety feature alerts the driver when a vehicle is approaching from the side while reversing. It can also detect pedestrians and bicycles and provide a warning to the driver.

6. Emergency assist: This feature detects if the driver is unresponsive and can take over control of the car and bring it to a safe stop.
