I mention using this digital PH meter when fermenting garlic in honey as well as some of my vegetable lacto-fermentation videos. There have been a few comments letting me know that it's calibration is intimidating so I have made this video for you! I clearly demonstrate how to calibrate a PH meter, how to use a digital PH meter and give tips on how to take care of it so it can have a long and accurate life. The goal of this video is to take the intimidation out of calibrating a PH meter.

➡️HOW TO STORE THE PH SOLUTIONS LONG TERM (re-use in the future):
1. Place each solution in a clean jar and store out of sunlight (i.e. cupboard or pantry).
2. Label the jar with the correct PH value of the solution
3. The solution will keep for about 8 months before a weird slime begins to develop. Maybe this will never happen to you, maybe it will happen sooner. None the less, this is how I store mine and they last 8-12 months before it's time to dump them and make a new solution if needed.
4. Recalibrate the meter, or check in on it's accuracy using the stored solutions anytime.
