In this video we test the Dyson Omni-glide for raw power (CFM and suction), long term suction (flour clog test), surface level pickup on carpet and hard floors, battery life, debris containment (fog test), hair tangling, and ease of use (weight, handling, control, and dust bin size).

The Omni-glide is generally not recommended because it failed our flour clog test. The results of this test indicate that this vacuum will lose suction quickly because fine debris readily deposits on its pre-motor filter.

If you're looking for a relatively inexpensive Dyson for hard floor cleaning we recommend the V8 with a soft roller cleaner head instead.
