Testing genes to see how your body responds to and interacts with drugs is a way of personalizing medication – selecting a medication at a dose that is safe and effective. However, currently there are limitations to how the results can be used. In this presentation from March 12, 2024, Elizabeth Fieg, MS, CGC, reviews what pharmacogenomics (PGx) testing can and can’t tell us about personalized medicine.

This program is part of the Genetics Series, a collaboration between the Maxwell & Eleanor Blum Patient and Family Learning Center and the Center for Genomic Medicine at Mass General.
