So the new series Warrior Nun dropped on Netflix and the internet is going crazy over it! The series follows a young woman who wakes up in a morgue to discover that she has holy superpowers and has been dropped into an eternal battle between good and evil in which she is one in a long line of superhero nuns who fight to save the world from evil demons. So, just your typical teenager stuff.

The show pops off from there by introducing a diverse cast of nuns who are part superhero, part ninja, part shotgun-wielding warriors and part holy servants of god. While the show leans pretty heavily into the action, that doesn’t mean that there isn’t plenty underneath the surface.

This series is packed with easter eggs and fun secrets from production. From its origins on the comic book page to its real-life kung fu nun inspirations, the journey the series has taken to get to the screen is almost worthy of a tv show itself. The tale is filled with inspirations from other series, several creative changes along the way and one global search for the perfect actress to play the lead.

If that’s not enough, we also have to talk about all of the twists and turns in the series. Some characters who we thought were evil turned out to be good. Some who were good turned out to be traitors..
