In this video I will educate you on how to measure, layout & bend a 3 point saddle with the Half Method. The Half method is an ordinary 3 point saddle using a 22.5 degree center bend and 11 degree side bends, totaling 45 degrees. This is can prove to be extremely useful when you are in a situation that you need to get around multiple obstruction therefore you need to make more then a single bend. This saddle gives you the freedom of using up most of that 360 degrees that you are allowed before you need to mount a j-box. Secondly, this saddle is most useful when you are bending over a small obstruction for example a 3/4" conduit. Most of the time it can be difficult to bend a saddle with 45 or 30 degree bends because the layout of bends becomes to close together. With the Half Method you get the spacing you need to make a clean professional looking saddle. I hope this helps you out in the field.
Multiplier = 5
Shrink/Center adjustment = 3/16" for every 2" of Rise
Center Bend - Use Notch
Side bends - Use Arrow
