Hello folks! In this video I will be making a thin square (ish) bowl from an American black walnut off-cut on the woodturning lathe. Mainly using my 3/8ths bowl gouge and a brief cameo from the 1/4" (6mm) parting \ beading tool to create the mortice.
The aim was to go as thin as I dare whilst keeping a consistent thickness across the piece, this turned out to be about 3mm.
Finished in my new favourite oil, fresh squeezed Walrus.
