Acura came to the electric vehicle (EV) market late, and the company didn't want to make a lot of hybrids while moving to fully electric cars. Instead, it wanted to go straight to EVs. The 2024 Acura ZDX, a mid-size luxury performance SUV, is the first product of their partnership. The ADX is said to share some of its motor parts with the Integra. This means that its 200-horsepower 1.5-liter turbo engine will do the job, though it is likely based on the Honda HR-V. We know everything we need to know about the brand's new crossover.

At first, we thought the ADX would come out at the same time as the ZDX, so we thought it would look like those models. But now that we know more, that seems less likely. So, we don't have a lot of information about how the Acura ADX looks from the outside. We think the brand will come up with what Acura is known for: sharp edges and sporty style. We're looking forward to seeing how the car company reinterprets the entry-level crossover's bold grille, athletic-yet-solid haunches, and sense of gravity. The goal is to attract young buyers. Since we don't even have good speculative renders or any teasers from Acura, the finer styling details and the colors that buyers will be able to choose for their Acura ADX will stay a secret for now.

There won't be an electric version of the Acura ADX. Instead, the company has said it will be a turbocharged SUV that shares its engines with the Integra. A 1.5-liter turbo-four engine with 200 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque is expected to power the 2025 Acura MDX. This engine is also used in the Integra lineup. Most likely, Acura's Super Handling All-Wheel Drive will come as standard. It will be interesting to see if a cheaper Front-Wheel Drive choice is offered, like on the Honda. It's possible that a CVT transmission will also be used here. There isn't much information available, but the ADX is expected to get about the same gas mileage as the Integra, even though it will be a few hundred pounds heavier. With the 1.5-liter engine and continuously variable transmission, the Integra gets 30/37/33 mpg. The ADX should get just under that, which will still be better than the Honda HR-V's 26/22/28 mpg in FWD form.

Acura says that the 2025 ADX will sit next to the Integra. This means that it should have a lower MSRP than the RDX. The base model of the Acura RDX costs about $44,350, and the most expensive one costs about $55,000. This means that the ADX should start around $30,000. The 2025 Acura ADX doesn't have an official release date yet, but the company that makes it says it will come out in early 2025. Models that are made might go on sale later that year.
