Harry Potter: Where Are They Now?

Some of the actors we’ve come to know and love as students of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry seem to have dropped off the edge of the earth. The cast of Harry Potter has had some breakout stars like Emma Watson, but not everyone has gone on to a spectacular career in Hollywood.

In true Ron-like fashion, Rupert Grint embarked on some wacky side projects in between acting gigs. Also, he has not made the best choices when it came to post-Harry Potter movies. But we’re happy to say his career may be on the upswing again as Grint has been getting more regular work on TV shows like The ABC Murders.

Tom Felton, best known for playing Draco Malfoy, decided to put away his magic wand for a while, turning to music instead. Of course, Felton is still a big fan of the magical world he had been a part of all those years and keeps in touch with his former cast members from the Harry Potter movies.

James and Oliver Phelps have been typecast as twins because there’s no getting away from how good they were as Fred and George Weasley. Yet each of them has managed to nab some roles as a “non-twin” here and there.

Evanna Lynch, who played Luna Lovegood, hasn’t had a lot of movie roles, but she has become a vegan activist and a member of The Harry Potter Alliance, a non-profit organization that supports human rights and the environment.

We may not see them on the big screen these days, but these former child actors have shown that they can be versatile, and in many cases, their talents go way beyond acting.
