This prostate exercises video teaches you when to start preparing for surgery (beginners), the best exercise position for Kegel exercises before and after prostate surgery, and how many pelvic floor exercises to do for the fastest recovery of bladder control and overcoming bladder leakage.

Daily Prostate Exercises Guide Before and After Prostate Surgery (Milos et al 2019)
- Perform 10 x 1 second fast exercises plus 10 x 10 second long exercises
- Rest for 10 seconds between each long exercise
- Repeat these Kegel exercises 6 times/day (total 120 Kegel exercises)

Prostate surgery exercises are usually much easier to perform after practicing them 5-6 weeks before surgery. After prostate surgery, these exercises are usually started around 1 week after your catheter is removed.

Gradually progress pelvic floor exercises after radical prostatectomy towards your pre-surgery daily dose during your recovery.

Some men continue to have some bladder control problems after their surgery because the bladder muscle (detrusor) becomes overactive. Bladder retraining can help men overcome bladder leakage associated with overactive bladder after prostate surgery. Pelvic floor exercises or Kegel exercises for men are now routinely prescribed by many urologists
