The commercial animation industry is almost synonymous with the name 'Disney'. Walt Disney was such a profound artist, visionary and storyteller that besides revolutionising the cartoon industry, he left an indelible stamp on the world of feature film animation.

Founded in the early 1920s by brothers Roy and Walt Disney, Disney Animation is currently organised as a subset of the much broader Walt Disney Studios which produces almost all forms of entertainment. From the Silly Symphonies to Snow White to Frozen, Disney Animation has blazed a vivid trajectory that spans across multiple media forms, like short films, features and live-action productions. This also includes a widely talked about foray into OTT and web streaming with Disney+ which is poised to make a lasting impression with undertakings like WandaVision.
