This is a servo controlled dust collection switcher I made for my bandsaw. When the bandsaw is turned on, the dust collection hose disconnects from my router, and switches over to the saw. I'm using a 12v linear actuator to automate the switching.

This is the 3" stroke actuator I'm using, you could also use an air cylinder.
